Glencoe 'Back Corries' circuit - from Meall a Bhuiridh Summit along the ridge onto Creise, then Clach Leathad then ski down Sron nam Forsair taking a line into Allt Coire an Easain near to the loch of that name. Head over to the col between Meall a Bhuiridh and Creag an Fhirich before putting the skis on again and enjoying a good run down the Allt Creagan Nam returning to the ski centre by the West Highland Way This was a short c4hr trip from the ski centre though without lift ticket a couple more ours would probably have been needed.
:: Weather Conditions
Sunny periods and light winds. Snow soft below c 1,000m with freezing level c800m or thereabouts. Temp 6c in car park at end of day - 6.30pm
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
The ridge to Creise looked interesting and crampons might have been useful but in retrospect added weight and not essential. Snow on Clach Leathad had a spring like feel and definitely so on the descent while final descent down the Allt Creagan Nam was classic Scottish sprind skiing and finding the best line to get as close to the WH Way as possible. In reality c100m of vertical so pretty good.

Beinn a' Chrulaiste to Meall nan Ruadhag, out the back of the Kingshouse Hotel. This was the avalanche aware route of choice given the forecast. Up the East ridge, down the North, then rumble along the tops, before a traversing descent across the flank of Ruadhag to the hut on the track and then back to the Hotel.
:: Weather Conditions
Atmospheric! Several glimpses of sun and cloud generally estimated to be 900 to 1000m, dropping in a few short lived squalls. All together a great day.
:: Snow Conditions and Distrubtion
Adequate to start skinnign from about 300m. Good cover going up ridge. The Northerly descent was approached with caution, but snow fields not large or unduely steep on our chosen line, so we were fine. Some lovely creamy snow! Cover along th etops good.
